Hello, VECTOR Network Members.

As school years wind down, we hope you all are looking ahead to some much-deserved relaxation time. If you are traveling, we wish you all safe journeys and returns.

We wanted to update you all on several VECTOR-related current happenings and upcoming events.

MEMBEAN

While presentations are a regular part of our work, some stand out as a departure from our typical work with teachers, coaches, and administrators. We recently were asked to present for employees of a company called Membean. One of the company founders saw a LinkedIn post from Emily Hamm – thanks, Emily! – about our book, and reached out to us . The company supports teachers throughout the world in their use of vocabulary development tool, and looks for innovative ways to help teachers be successful in using their product. We had a wonderful chat with the group about the ways the VECTOR model might help teachers make their tool a more regular part of daily instruction.

ICG CONFERENCE

Jim Knight, founder of the Instructional Coaching Group, recently asked Marti to join him in San Antonio, TX October 2-4 for his Teaching Learning Coaching Conference. Marti will present on VECTOR, and share the successes we’ve had using the model to facilitate virtual coaching sessions. According to Jim, people are asking about virtual coaching, and this will be a wonderful opportunity to share how our model is providing broader access to high quality coaching.
